Step I: Leading-in &Pre-reading
Task 1.T:Talk about the legend.S:Learn some new words.(To warm up the class and increase Ssinterest in reading article.)
Task 2.Skin the text and answer the questions.(To improve Ss reading skills.)
Task 3.Do some actions about Monkey King.(To make Ss more active.)
Step II: While-reading
Task 1.Look at the title and picture to make a prediction.(To guess the main idea of this passage.)
Task 2.Read by themselves or in groups.Finish 3b(Try to let Ss understand each paragraph.)
Task 3.Finish 3c
Task 4.Translate the key phrases and teach the key points.(To let Ss master the key phrases and points.)
Task 5.Listen and repeat.(To improve Sspronunciation)
Step III:Post reading
Task 1.Everyone choose a character and play a role.Task 2.Watch an interesting English video about The journey to The West.Let Ss have a challenge--choose one story in it and act out.Step IV: Homework
1.Listen to the tape and read the passage again.2.Play a show with your friends after class.教后反思:本节课是阅读课,通过学习家喻户晓美猴王的故事,学生学习英语的积极性有了很大提高,通过设置小组活动,学生的表演欲望也有所增强!学习文章中的短语和知识点也较以前更加自信起来。同时借助课外一个有趣的《西游记》英文系列动画视频,让学生更爱上学习英语!大部分学生的兴趣已经被激发出来,有些学生会继续收看这个英文动画,从动画中潜移默化地学习
